Bowl of Cherries, a 12x12 still life won an Honorable Mention at the Guild of Charlotte Artists Summer Show.

Judge: Marisa Pasucci - an experienced art curator, speaker, historian, and educator, and who enjoys a progressive career with renowned art institutions and organizations. Currently she is the Gallery and Collection Coordinator of the Van Every/Smith Galleries and an independent curator working with Charlotte area artists, arts organizations, and community college.

Pasucci made the following comments about the piece:

"Taking a bowl of cherries and placing it off center and against a contrasting background of purple is a bold choice and accomplished skillfully. Additionally, the composition is noteworthy by rendering of the wood-turn markings of the bowl and the play of highlights and shadows."

I was recently interviewed in Canvas Rebel, a media outlet  that creates a space for artists, creatives and entrepreneurs to be able to learn from their peers through the magic and power of storytelling.  I thought I would share my story with you.
